This varmint round’s 55 grain bullet is perfectly normal as far as its weight is concerned, so you won’t need a special barrel to stabilize it for accurate flight. Its black polymer tip does streamline the bullet so it can retain more of its velocity as it flies farther and farther downrange, and its flat base also contributes to its great accuracy.
The bullet’s jacket is extremely thin around its mouth, and its core has a nose cavity. These two features enable the polymer tip to initiate fragmentation beginning immediately upon impact. It won’t produce the deep wound channel you’d want for deer hunting, but its explosive terminal ballistics are optimal for small and thin-skinned game. Brass-cased, reloadable, and made in the USA!
