Remington’s Core-Lokt has remained one of America’s most popular hunting bullets ever since its introduction in 1939. Now Big Green has made their classic projectile even more effective for taking medium game by giving it a bonded jacket!

This 223 Rem cartridge is loaded with a 62 grain pointed soft point. Its heavier weight does decelerate its muzzle velocity to 3,100 fps, yet its greater downrange momentum conveys better medium-to-long distance accuracy. (If you’re accustomed to M855 ammo, then this hunting load will offer familiar ballistics.)

The Core-Lokt features a tapered copper jacket which is mechanically anchored to its solid lead core. The bonded Core-Lokt’s jacket is even more firmly rooted to its core, which ensures exceptionally deep penetration as the bullet resists terminal fragmentation. Its exposed core enables the PSP to expand as it sinks into soft tissue, thus forcing up to double-diameter expansion under optimal conditions.

This American-made ammo is loaded with the fine brass, primers and powder it needs to deliver reliable functionality in any 5.56 or 223 rifle. We recommend a 1:9 or 1:8 barrel twist for the best accuracy, although a 1:7 will also serve you well!
