This .223 Remington varmint ammunition is the perfect choice for an AR-15 or other .223 Remington/5.56 NATO rifle if you're looking to exterminate a coyote or groundhog infestation. Each cartridge in this box of 50 fires a heavy 62 grain Barnes TSX solid copper hollow point bullet at a muzzle velocity of 3,100 feet per second. This results in external ballistics similar to M855 ball ammunition popular for range use; when the round strikes its target, however, the results are completely different.

The Barnes TSX bullet is designed to expand into four petals for devastating effect against various types of game. To avoid the fouling issues that plagued earlier solid copper designs, the TSX has three grooves cut into its shank to absorb expanding bullet material. This also has the beneficial effect of reducing chamber pressures and making safe but powerful loads possible.

Black Hills ammunition is loaded in Rapid City, South Dakota using non-corrosive Boxer primers and brass cases. Barnes bullets are made in Mona, Utah.
