If you need a reason to be glad you aren’t a varmint, then you’re looking right at it. Hornady V-Match 224 Valkyrie gives any MSR the power it needs to reach out and *touch* varmints over very long distances!

The ELD-VT bullet is one nasty little piece of work (as far as varmints are concerned, at least). Its thin Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket’s rim suspends a long-tailed polymer tip above a wide air gap. When the ELD-VT connects with its prey, it self-destructs in a dramatic display of fragmentation. Deadly.

The ELD-VT’s accuracy makes it wholly deserving of its place in the Extremely Low Drag bullet family. Its AMP jacket’s peak concentricity, ballistically efficient boat tail and side profile, and Heat Shield tip (which is made of polymer that doesn’t warp under heat, and therefore keeps its ultra low-drag DVRT flat meplat perfectly intact) all ensure that the ELD-VT hops from point A to point B without any surprises along the way.

Know what we love doing here at LuckyGunner.com? That’s right – calculating ballistic data, which we did for this cartridge based on Hornady’s reported 3,300 fps muzzle velocity and 0.395 G1 BC out of a 24” test barrel:
0yds: 3,300 fps | 1,499 ft lbs | -1.5”
100yds: 3,044 fps | 1,275 ft lbs | 3.0”
200yds: 2,802 fps | 1,081 ft lbs | 3.7”
300yds: 2,574 fps | 912 ft lbs | 0.0”
400yds: 2,356 fps | 764 ft lbs | -9.0”
500yds: 2,149 fps | 636 ft lbs | -24.2”
600yds: 1,953 fps | 525 ft lbs | -47.0”
