Think the only advantage to hunting with copper bullets is avoiding legal penalties in certain jurisdictions? Think again! A hardy copper bullet resists fragmentation, which promotes a longer wound column in addition to protecting meat against contamination by toxic metal. A copper bullet won’t put any fouling on the bore, which will keep your rifle shooting straighter when you’re nowhere near a cleaning kit. And because a copper bullet lacks a jacket, it also necessarily lacks jacket concentricity flaws – yet another reason why you can bank on great precision while you’re taking aim at game.

Federal Premium’s Power-Shok Copper 243 Win ammo gives you the monolithic bullets you need to secure success. This round’s 85 grain hollow point is engineered to expand wide and inflict lots of drop-dead damage. Once the SCHP achieves its posted muzzle velocity of 3,200 fps, its 0.233 G1 ballistic coefficient will ensure that it strikes 200 yards with approximately 1,090 ft lbs of energy, and then proceed to drop to around -7.66” at 300 yards.

This ammo’s Boxer primers do contain lead styphnate, so it’s not totally lead-free. It’s also loaded with Federal’s usual high-quality, smooth-cycling and reloadable brass cases. Order a few boxes and tell your next trophy to eat copper!
