This cartridge’s 130 grain soft point is no ordinary soft point. It is Hornady’s own InterLock, which is named after the raised ring which quite literally locks the base of its one-piece lead core to the thickest section of its tapered copper jacket. The InterLock’s cannelure creates a similar point of attachment, which is how the bullet consistently conserves the momentum it needs to tunnel down deep.
The upper section of the InterLock’s jacket is thin, and strategically weakened by a series of inner grooves. These features help the InterLock expand wider following lower-velocity impact. And although the InterLock isn’t a match-accurate bullet, its 0.409 G1 BC does translate to a satisfactorily flat trajectory: one which drops -6.6” at 300 yards if you aimed to 200 yards while centered up 1.5”.
Hornady doesn’t withhold their highest-quality cases, primers and propellant from hunters who choose American Whitetail ammo. This ammo is made in Nebraska, and it ships from Tennessee fast when you order it from Lucky Gunner!
