This round features a 145 grain Controlled Expansion Terminal Tip. It’s an exceptionally tough bullet with a bonded core, so rugged hide, tough muscle, and hard bone can do little to shed its weight during penetration. The bullet’s anodized aluminum tip grants it an exceptional ballistic coefficient: 0.47, which conveys a startlingly flat trajectory. As the Controlled Expansion Terminal Tip tunnels into its target, that tip rapidly mashes inward to commence rapid expansion. The resultant wound channel isn’t one an elk is equipped to recover from, especially when it overlaps with the creature’s lung or heart.
Few manufacturers enjoy better reputations than Browning, and they don’t owe it all to their eye-catching logo. These rounds represent countless hours of research and development, and their top quality components have been assembled by hand to that ensure hunters are best equipped to take their quarries.
