The ELD-X makes mincemeat of frontal air resistance. Its Heat Shield polymer tip is doubly designed to improve drag uniformity and decrease dispersion, and it keeps its precision meplat undeformed in the face of brutal air friction. The ELD-X additionally features Hornady’s ultra-concentric AMP jacket, as well as their secant ogive jacket profile and optimized boat tail. All together, these elements add up to grant the 145 grain ELD-X a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.536 (wow!), which represents this performance out of a 24” barrel:
