Nothing complicated about this round’s bullet at all. It is a full metal jacket: 115 grains, and accordingly light enough to produce a muzzle velocity of 1,150 fps out of a handgun’s 4” barrel; flat nose profile, which cuts a clearly defined hole through a hanging paper target; and totally steel-free, so it won’t land you in hot water if your range bans “magnetic” ammo. The FMJ is quite naturally a poor selection for self-defense given its total inability to expand, but that’s of no concern when your only goal is to punch paper or riddle aluminum cans.
Here’s a revelation: Blazer Brass series ammo features brass cases! They’re fitted with noncorrosive Boxer primers, and they’re just what you want at your reloading press.
