The Match Burner is an open tip match boat tail bullet. It possesses the just about perfect jacket concentricity, form-fitted lead core and sleek frontal and rear profiles that all breed a flat and predictable trajectory. Do take note that the Match Burner is not a hunting or self-defense bullet. The OTM’s nose cavity is there because its jacket was created prior to its core’s solidification, not because it provides terminal expansion.
Once it clears the muzzle at a rate of 2,215 fps, the 125 grain Match Burner achieves a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.330. That’s a mathematical way of saying that the bullet’s trajectory to 200 yards tops out at 4.5”, and also that it stays supersonic until almost 600 yards. Precision-formed brass cases and match primers tie this appealing sharpshooter’s package together. Great for all ARs and bolt actions!
