Frontier is Hornady’s answer to high-volume shooters’ needs. Is this round especially fancy? No. Does its bullet have any special features that enhance its effectiveness for defense and/or hunting? No. It’s a full metal jacket: nonmagnetic and accurate.
But the bullet does have one thing special going for it. It’s heavy. It.s 208 grains, specifically, which any 300 BLK enthusiast understands to mean subsonic muzzle velocity: just 1,025 fps out of a 24” barrel, and naturally even lower out of an SBR. In summary, this is just the American-made good-good you want if you’re twying vewy hawd to be quiet, and a must-have if you have a suppresserino!
