The Scirocco II is optimized to follow the flattest trajectory. Swift achieved this by designing their bullet with a precision molded black polymer tip, secant ogive profile which minimizes in-flight drag, long driving band that improves rotational stability, and thick boat tail base which prevents deformation under the 300 Win Mag’s heavy chamber pressure. So many accuracy-enhancing aspects jack up the Scirocco II’s ballistic coefficient to 0.520. That’s characteristic of a match grade bullet!
The Scirocco II retains superior energy downrange, yet its polymer tip also enables terminal expansion following lower velocity impact. The bullet’s jacket is tapered to control uniform expansion over a great range of velocities for a more versatile approach to hunting. The Scirocco II’s jacket is additionally bonded to prevent it and its core from splintering apart as they penetrate dense muscles and bone, thus promoting a deep wound channel all the way into a large quarry’s boiler room.
Reliable expansion at long range. High weight retention at close range. The Scirocco II is a hunting bullet that just doesn’t compromise. This round also avoids jamming and corrosion thanks to Federal’s precision drawn nickel-plated brass case, complete with the sensitive Boxer primer and clean burning propellant you need to get the show rolling.
