This suppressor-safe (albeit supersonic) cartridge is loaded with select propellant which optimizes its performance out of a 7.5 to 11.5” barrel. One hundred percent powder burn. Dim muzzle flash. Softer report. High velocity (2,886 fps 13.5” barrel, 3,040 fps 16” per Fiocchi). They’re all welcome facets of this SBR ammo’s performance!
The bullet, as you’ve already discerned, is an SST. It’s a polymer-tipped projectile by Hornady: intensely accurate, with an InterLock ring to promote deep penetration and the capacity for undergoing wide (shocking, no less) terminal expansion. The SST is normally employed for deer hunting, which leaves nothing to doubt as to whether this round could neutralize the threat. (You may be firing an SBR, but a 308 is still a 308 after all!)
Made in the great state of MO.
