Let’s address the big question first: will this ammo’s bullets attract a magnet? That’s a big old negative, sir. Between its lead core (2% antimony) and copper jacket (10% zinc), there’s not a single ferrous metal in GGG’s 147 grain full metal jacket.
Once this round’s clean-burning double-base propellant has accelerated its FMJ to a velocity of 2,700 fps (22.36” test barrel), the projectile’s 0.401 G1 BC will let it soar to 900 yards without becoming subsonic.
This round’s brand new case is made of CuZn30 – better known as brass. GGG also loads noncorrosive Boxer primers, which is why any handloader should be able to have their fun with this ammo.
