The signature feature of any Gold Dot cartridge is its electrochemically bonded bullet. This round’s 150 grain soft point features virtually perfect jacket concentricity – hence the reason for its flat and accurate trajectory, which only rises by 2.59” before reaching a 200-yard bullseye. But the bonded bullet exhibits its most impressive performance when it encounters a barrier before reaching its target. The bullet will retain nearly 95% of its weight after passing through a sheet of steel, or 93% of its weight after piercing a sheet of plywood. That ensures the bullet conserves the momentum it would need to enter deeply into soft tissue. And because it is a soft point, the bullet reliably expands to more than double its original diameter before passing through or coming to a rest within its target. Better yet, the soft point is designed to exhibit terminal expansion at 200 yards even if it is fired from a barrel as short as 10”.
This ammunition features flash-suppressed propellant that will help to conserve your eyesight’s acclimation to low lighting, supremely reliable Boxer primers, and corrosion resistant and smooth-feeding nickel-plated brass cases. Works great for deer and coyote hunting, too!
