A-wooooo! If you’re ready to let out your 308 Winchester rifle’s inner wolf, then this bulk steel-cased Russian-made ammo will have you howling … with delight. It’s Wolf Military Classic, dog!

This round is loaded with a 168 grain full metal jacket. It’s heavier than an M80 FMJ, which naturally makes it better equipped for long-range shooting, although it’s by no means a match-grade bullet like an HPBT or OTM. Even so, it’ll do you right if you’re hiking it pretty far out there.

The main reason this ammo is cheaper is because of its steel components (which cost less to manufacture than copper or brass alternatives). Its lead-core FMJ’s bimetal jacket? Mostly made of steel, which is what ranges are primarily concerned about when they ban “magnetic ammo” from their premises. Its steel case? Well, that’s made of steel too, as you might imagine, which means you’ll have a better time learning to speak Swahili than you would attempting to reload it.
