Upgrade the power of your concealed carry handgun with this .32 ACP ammo from Buffalo Bore. These cartridges use Barnes TAC-XP solid copper hollow points and a high-velocity powder charge to provide improved penetration and expansion, giving this small caliber a much-needed boost in the power department. Barnes bullets are lead-free and well regarded for their high production quality and effectiveness.

Each cartridge in this box of 20 fires a 60-grain version of the TAC-XP at a muzzle velocity of 1,150 feet per second; this high velocity helps the hollow point expand more reliably to incapacitate an assailant. Compared to other .32 Auto loads, this ammo produces above average recoil, flatter trajectories, and better terminal ballistics.

Ballistics Test Summary

Ballistic gelatin testing is one way to get an idea of how a self-defense load might perform in a real world self-defense situation. So we fired five rounds of Buffalo Bore 60 gr Tac-XP +P from a KelTec P32 from a distance of 10 feet into a block of synthetic ballistic gel with a barrier of four layers of fabric simulating heavy clothing. We then gathered information on the expansion and penetration characteristics of this load. That data is represented in the chart below.

How this load compares to other .32 Auto (ACP) loads from our tests in regards to bullet expansion and penetration can be found in the diagrams at the bottom of the page.

We also took photos of each bullet that was recovered from the gelatin, seen in the photo slider below. The high speed video shows this round impacting the ballistic gelatin at 10,000 frames per second.
