We got the goods: Federal Premium’s very own Personal Defense label cartridges, which are loaded with notched jacketed hollow point bullets that deliver great accuracy and fierce terminal expansion together.
This round’s 1,005 fps muzzle velocity (recorded using a 4” vented barrel) translates to 180+ ft lbs striking energy in close quarters. It’s not a gargantuan punch, but it’ll complete the task so long as you aim correctly. If you’re only firing these sluggers at the range, be sure to keep their cases. If you don’t handload them yourself, then you ought to make sure someone else does!
