This ammo is loaded with 85 grain jacketed soft point projectiles, which are safe for a tubular magazine, but which aren’t advertised as being intended for defense. (At the very least, we can assure you that no varmint will survive a close encounter with this round’s JSP.) Each bullet is perched atop a new and reloadable brass case. No 32 H&R Magnum cartridge has ever been loaded with a corrosive primer, so there’s no need to worry about that.
Federal reports that this cartridge delivers 975 fps muzzle velocity out of a 4” barrel (vented, to emulate the effect of a cylinder gap). We extrapolate that its G1 BC equals 0.144, which predicts this ballistic performance:
0yds: 975 fps | 179 ft lbs | -0.2”
25yds: 944 fps | 168 ft lbs | 1.1”
50yds: 917 fps | 159 ft lbs | 0.0”
75yds: 892 fps | 150 ft lbs | -3.7”
100yds: 868 fps | 142 ft lbs | -10.1”
