This cartridge has a typical weight 97 grain bullet. The FMJ had already been invented by the time the 32 S&W Long hit the scene, but as it was mostly developed to assist feeding in automatic weapons it wasn’t too common a thing to be found in revolvers. As such this round has a traditional lead round nose bullet, a great choice for cowboy action shooting and casual plinking. And if the 32 S&W Long is your choice for personal protection – like my father who keeps a Colt New Police in his nightstand – you’ll find that 97 grains of solid lead traveling at over 500 mph ought to serve adequately for the task.
Fiocchi is still family owned after over 140 years in business. The family of businessmen and engineers is wholly invested in their namesake and legacy, and see to it that each round they turn out receives a consistent brass shell casing, non-corrosive Boxer primer, and charge of clean burning, smokeless propellant. Great stuff for handloading in this case as well!
