Think Sweden only has pressboard furniture, meatballs, and ABBA going for it? How wrong you are. The Scandinavian country is also the home of Norma, which produces around 30 million rounds of ammunition every year at their factory in Åmotfors.

This is Norma’s essential 357 Magnum range load. Its 158 grain bullet will exit the barrel at nearly 1,300 fps, which is sufficient to keep it from dropping by over a foot until it has passed the 150 yard mark. The full metal jacket bullet packs huge energy at close range yet can’t expand within soft tissue. Its tip is flat and its side is sloped – this makes it easy to chamber in a cylinder, helps it cut a neater hole through a paper target, and prevents ignition in a lever-action rifle’s tubular magazine.

Norma’s state-of-the-art factory churns out straight and quite reloadable brass cases. The Swedish manufacturer’s primers are as non-corrosive as can be, which complements their fully jacketed bullet and modern smokeless propellant to keep a revolver or rifle in cleaner condition.
