The 360 Buckhammer was Remington’s invention, but Federal loaded this particular Power-Shok label ammo at their factory in Minnesota. Its bullet isn’t an especially high-tech little number: a 180 grain jacketed soft point, with the gilding metal coat it needs to penetrate deeply and the soft lead core it needs to expand widely.
At 2,375 fps, the flat base JSP’s muzzle velocity is sufficient to give it a 0.178 G1 ballistic coefficient – the reason why it slaps 200 yards with just shy of 950 ft lbs of energy. Actual results may vary, but there are no circumstances under which we would want to be the deer that gets shot with this cartridge.
These rounds’ .358 cal bullets are nestled in pin-straight, virgin and reloadable brass cases. Noncorrosive, clean-firing and reliable – the Federal Premium trifecta!
