Snubnosed revolvers are great for personal protection. A wheelgun’s reliability is unmatched, and a short barrel makes concealment oh so easy. But that short barrel is also a problem – it just can’t give propellant enough time to bring a bullet up to full speed.

This 38 Special cartridge by Prvi Partizan addresses the short barrel shortcoming with its a 158 grain bullet. A lead semi-wadcutter hollow point has a broad, cylindrical profile (sort of like a thimble), so it doesn’t need to expand in order to bore a wide hole into soft tissue. If your snubbie doesn’t boast a great muzzle velocity, it can still boast decent stopping power when it’s working with an LSWCHP.

As a hollow point this round’s bullet is still capable of terminal expansion, of course. And when it hits full speed – 902 fps out of a 7.7” barrel – it strikes a target at close range with well over 250 ft lbs of energy.

Prvi Partizan’s LSWCHP bullet sits in a first run brass case, complete with a Boxer primer. No part of this ammo is magnetic or corrosive, so you can take it to any indoor range and enjoy cleaning your revolver normally once the fun is over.
