I bought this ammo to try out on my Bond Arms derringer, 38 shorts fired flawlessly no real problems, hardly any recoil. A great round for target practice, and if you have wrist problems this is the ammo to get. It still can be used for self defense. The only down side is its very dirty, lots of carbon. If you dont mind the clean up afterwards, you cant beat it...
74-year-old friend with weak wrists got her one box to practice with and one box to qualify with-now she's confident and her groups are shrinking-really enjoys her new LCRX 3". Will be ordering more. Almost no recoil and muzzle blast.
Wife bought a LCR 357 mag with CTgrips. Using the lightest load I could find, which Lucky Gunner had it was brutal. Switched out the grips for Tamers and then went back to range. Day and night results. She shot the shorts with no problem then switched to full 38 spec
Magtech ammo and the same. Every shot in the black in 3" groups. Happy Wife Happy Life.
People at Lucky Gunner where super and understanding. The order arrived quickly and seamlessly. I'd recommend them to anyone.
Almost like shooting a 22LR
I have a S&W model 13-5, 357/38 revolver that I picked up about 20 years ago. Somewhere along the way, I got a little flinchy on the 357's, so I wanted to work up from 38 shorts to 38s to 357s. It worked like a charm. Ran a couple boxes of these shorts, with one FTF, and then ran some 38s and 357s. The 357 is just a beast of a round, but used in progression it is not quite as shocking. They are still not fun to shoot in my opinion, but the flinch was gone.
On the one FTF, I just cycled the revolver to get back to the round. The second strike resulted in a fire. So I'd call that a semi-FTF.
I was impressed with these shorts and even had my wife shoot a few. She was using her S&W model 43C 22LR revolver and felt the shorts were comparable. The model 13 is a much heavier gun, but these shorts have very little recoil. I would definitely recommend.
Just what I was looking for.. I will be back soon to buy more.
Very easy and good to do business with you.. A real pleasure and .. It was good to only ship it in a small package for a small product. Very straight forward and very smart.
I will be back soon to buy more...
