Lead bullets are used in cowboy action loads as they are less likely to damage targets (as well as being more historically accurate). They're best fired in an outdoor setting where ventilation is good to minimize lead exposure.
Though more similar to Winchester's original products than most ammo, these rounds do come with one modern convenience that most action shooters will appreciate: non-corrosive Boxer primers. They also use reloadable brass cases.
