The whole point of self-defense training is so that you can get better at hurting other people. So why risk your own safety in the process? That’s the theory behind this 40 S&W ammo by Speer Lawman!

This round features the Reduced Hazard Training bullet. It’s frangible, a fancy word that means the bullet is made out of sintered (i.e. compressed) metal powders. Then the RHT bullet smacks into a hard surface, it won’t send little bits of copper and lead flying back at you. It just smashes into innocuous dust and that’s the end of it.

The RHT also benefits your health in a less noticeable way. Its bullet contains no lead powder that could have started floating around after impact, and its Clean-Fire primer is devoid of any lead, barium, or antimony. That all comes together to promote much cleaner air in a stuffy indoor range!

The RHT is lightweight without any dense lead in it. At 125 grains, a 40 S&W pistol with a 4” barrel gives it a peppery 1,300 fps muzzle velocity. These rounds’ consistent propellant charges and assembly make them dependable little range companions, so you won’t have to worry about FTEs in addition to splash-back or toxic vapors.
