A: You know, that's a high quality rifle, and most people find that the SUB2000 is able to eat up any kind of ammo it's given. Now, if I had to recommend one self-defense round for your rifle, I'd have to go with Federal HST: luckygunner.com/40-sw-180-grain-jhp-hst-federal-premium-le-50-rounds. It's got a really good JHP that's designed for law enforcement and excels at the FBI protocol for barrier penetration and terminal expansion. Speer's G2 is also excellent: luckygunner.com/40-s-w-180-grain-bonded-hp-speer-le-gold-dot-g2-50-rounds.
For range shooting, I highly doubt this FMJ ammo from Winchester's Ranger label would leave you dissatisfied: luckygunner.com/40-sw-180-gr-fmj-winchester-ranger-500-rounds.
