This round’s 180 grain DPX projectile is a solid copper hollow point. Most importantly, the bullet is incredibly tough. Corbon calls the DPX “barrier blind” because they claim it retains all of its weight after having passed through clothing, steel, and even auto glass. No one can make the same claim of a bonded JHP!
If the DPX’s only talent was reliable 12-18” penetration into soft tissue, then it would still be impressive. But wait! Thanks to its nose cavity’s internally cut serrations, the DPX is also able to fan out wide enough to double its diameter. And we’re not talking about a conventional mushroom formation. The DPX sticks out six blade-like petals as it gouges and slashes its way through the target. Outstandingly effective terminal ballistics, regardless of whether you’re shooting for sport or for your life!
