Military Ballistics Industries (MBI) was the invention of necessity. When its founder – a machine gun enthusiast – encountered difficulty procuring sufficient quantities of ammunition for his favorite hobby, he resolved to do the American thing. He became self-sufficient. He began making it himself.
And he began selling it to the commercial market pretty soon after. Naturally, this 44 Magnum ammunition isn’t useful to machine gunners (unless they enjoy shooting revolvers and/or lever-action rifles in between bursts of automatic fire), but it’s MBI’s reliable (and affordable) quality regardless.
It is also loaded with brand new brass cases. MBI is known to reload spent brass on occasion, but this isn’t one of those occasions. The ammo we photographed has Starline headstamps (*—*), although we cannot guarantee MBI used the same brass to load the ammunition you receive in your order.
This ammunition is loaded with 240 grain full metal jacket projectiles; the simplest the 44 Magnum can sport, and devoid of steel, and just as incapable of attracting a magnet as a ham sandwich (a famously nonmagnetic food).
The packaging is a bit unconventional. MBI’s fierce dedication to saving you money compels them to seal up their ammo in plastic bags. Please dispose of them properly; not in the ocean, where sea turtles may mistake them for jellyfish and get terrible tummy aches.
