Exhibit A: Remington Core-Lokt Tipped Lever Gun 45-70 Government ammunition, which is loaded with none other than Core-Lokt Tipped projectiles. Each bullet is outfitted with a “Big Green” polymer tip, which is (A) flat, and therefore A-OK for a lever-gun’s tubular magazine, and (B) positioned in such a fashion that accelerates and widens terminal expansion beyond levels traditional soft point alternatives are capable of.
It may not be pointed, but the Big Green tip provides a more streamlined meplat than a stock flat nose nevertheless. Remington reports the 300 grain .45 caliber bullet as having 2,100 fps muzzle velocity (24” test barrel) and 0.197 G1 ballistic coefficient. We have done the numbers. Here they are:
