45 ACP ammunition for self-defense? Sig Sauer has your six. This American-made ammo is loaded with Sig’s own 200 grain V-Crown, a jacketed hollow point that overwhelms its target with deleterious terminal expansion.

The V-Crown takes its name for its V-shaped jacket skives and scores. These direct expansion reliably outward as the JHP meets with resistance from soft tissue. The V-Crown’s core is divided into six sections by its unique segmented hollow point nose cavity, which helps it to open up wide and quickly following impact. This bullet also features a toothed cannelure in its shank to help prevent setback in the magazine, as well as keep its core and jacket attached to one another during penetration. That preserves the momentum the V-Crown needs to tunnel deeply into its target.

Sig loads their Elite Performance cartridges with nickel-plated brass cases. These are corrosion resistant, low-friction to enhance smoother functionality in a semi-auto, and easier to see in poor lighting conditions. Sig’s propellant is formulated to emit reduced muzzle flash, which will serve to preserve your vision in the event you ever have to draw and fire in the dark.
