The DGH’s protected point locks the rim of its jacket securely within the tip of its lead core, which does even more to prevent deflection that could have hampered straightline penetration.
This round truly is a beast, and will slam over 1,500 ft lbs of kinetic energy into any target within a 95-yard radius. Given the 1,820 fps muzzle velocity and 0.200 G1 BC Hornady recorded out of a 4” test barrel, we calculated the following ballistic performance:
