We’ve got Winchester’s American-made 5.56x45 M855 ammunition in stock! Better yet, this ammo comes packaged in handy reusable plastic field boxes – perfect if you intend to store it long term or take it on a journey.

This ammunition is loaded with 62 grain full metal jacket projectiles, which will provide positive functionality in any AR-style firearm before proceeding to deliver satisfactory accuracy. The FMJ M855 bullet will attract a magnet, and is accordingly not permitted at many commercial rifle ranges. The M855 bullet’s core is made of two different metals: lead in the back, and steel in the front. The bullet’s 7 grain “penetrator” tip (which is concealed by its gilding metal jacket) enables it to pierce barriers as tough as sheet metal. Indeed, this round can easily defeat a 1/8” thick layer of steel at ranges beyond 500 yards. Furthermore, the M855 bullet has a good chance of splitting in half after it collides with a soft medium at high-to-mid velocity.

This ammo’s FMJs do not have polymer tips. That is just green paint, and it only makes the M855 ammo easy to identify. This ammo is loaded with brand new brass cases as well. You will notice discoloration on the cases, which simply indicates that their mouths were correctly heat-treated at the factory. Noncorrosive Boxer-primed and reloadable!
