The 500 S&W Magnum is a curious handgun cartridge: one of the very few that was never intended to be used in combat, or for defense against two-legged threats. But if you are going hunting, or in need of something that can quickly dispatch a rude bear, or just looking for the closest target ammo you can get to Zeus’ thunder and lightning, then you couldn’t do much better than the Roman numeral D.

American Quality Ammunition loaded this cartridge with a multi-talented 300 grain jacketed flat point. It’s A-OK for any kind of target shooting you’ve got on your agenda. It’s also especially deadly on game – not just because the 500 S&W Magnum is a beast, but because the JFP’s inability to undergo expansion allows it to penetrate extra deeply. A grizzly might think all its fat and muscle protect it, but that’s only because it hasn’t yet encountered the guy with the magnum.

This ammo is made in the USA. Its cases are new and reloadable, and its primers are very much noncorrosive. The 250-round box is loose-packed, similarly to breakfast cereal except the whole thing is nothing but prizes.
