You wouldn’t want to eat lead. Why, then, would you let yourself breathe it in? This 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge from Federal’s mainstay American Eagle line of ammunition features the bullet you want for indoor range training and high volume shooting: the total metal jacket.

In contrast to a run of the mill full metal jacket, a TMJ’s base is additionally jacketed. That keeps this 120 grain bullet’s core from becoming vaporized during ignition, promoting an altogether safer space to hone your talent in. A TMJ also benefits accuracy, as its unchanging base provides a more uniform surface for propellant gasses to effect their energy against. In conjunction with this bullet’s balanced weight and concentric jacket, you’ll benefit from a .406 ballistic coefficient for some truly sharp shooting.

The American Eagle label hasn’t become a universal favorite at ranges because it underperforms. You’ll find that these rounds’ uniform primers, propellant, and brass all promote amazing consistency shot after shot. Federal’s brass is also a boon to anyone who likes to use every part of the animal at their reloading bench!
