American Quality Ammunition has loaded this 6.5 Creedmoor ammo with Hornady's 140 grain hollow point boat tail designed for tight groups at long ranges. It's not designed for terminal expansion but rather high accuracy and aerodynamics at a great price point to make your long range shooting habit a little bit more affordable. Note, this ammo is optimized for bolt guns and not semi-autos.

This round’s hollow point boat tail could easily, easily turn any varmint into something a vulture wouldn’t have to spend much time chewing. Its nose cavity’s not there to deliver terminal expansion, though. Its just the cosmetic byproduct of a manufacturing process which yields an aerodynamic and rotationally stable projectile, with a thin, concentric jacket and drag-minimizing tapered base. It’s the very same design as the bullets competitive shooters and military snipers both utilize in their very, very different (but not completely different) pursuits. The manufacturer has informed us that they recorded the cartridge's advertised muzzle velocity with the aid of a 24" long 1:8" twist barrel.

Is this old, remanufactured, or magnetic ammunition? No. It’s new production, with new reloadable brass cases and steel-free HPBTs.
