SIG Sauer creates their Elite Match Grade ammunition for choosy long-distance shooters. Short of actually walking closer to it, this 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge is the best way to pick off a far away target.

The secret to this round’s accuracy and precision is its 140 grain open tip match bullet. An OTM’s jacket is formed first and subsequently filled with molten lead through the small opening in its narrow tip. The lead hardens perfectly in place – without forming voids that could have impacted its balance. The OTM’s heightened rotational stability complements its ballistically efficient profile, enabling it to needle through the air along a flat, straight trajectory.

Everything comes together to give this round’s bullet a G1 ballistic coefficient in excess of 0.5. It resists the deleterious effects of crosswinds, retains 85 percent of its initial velocity at 500 yards, and only needs to arc approximately 17” en route to that range!

SIG combines German engineering with American workmanship to produce this high quality range and competition ammunition. Their brass cases are drawn to the tolerances they need to feed, chamber, and extract fluidly in any rifle, and their diligently matched primers and propellant treat a shooter to predictable recoil, point of aim, and in-flight ballistics.
