This 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge has a 140 grain pointed soft point (PSP) with a Core-Lokt jacket. The copper jacket and the soft lead core have been connected via mechanical means rather than chemical bonding, which results in deep penetration of the target. The pointed soft point expands to twice its normal diameter when it strikes a target causing wide wound paths that significantly improve the terminal performance of this round.

Each 6.5 Creedmoor round in this box of 20 is constructed using a new-production brass casing; these casings are Boxer-primed, non-corrosive, and reloadable. The muzzle velocity of these rounds is 2700 fps and they produce a stunning energy transfer of 2267 ft/lbs.

great inexpensive round

I use this in my T/C Compass. Shoots right around an inch at 100 yards with a three round group. Tried more expensive ammunition and this shot better. Took out the offside shoulder on a doe last year and she went about 15 feet from where she was hit to where her final resting place was. I now buy it any time I see it. You can buy more expensive, fancy bullets, but for deer hunting, these just work.

Core-Lokt is the only ammunition I use for hunting. I have never had to use a second shot. Fantastic bullet!!

mixed reviews are funny but this ammo is for bolt action rifles, NOT semiauto platforms. Softpoint ammo doesnt fair well on feed ramps as most know. That being said it performs great in bolt guns and is minute of Deer, Hog all day long and hits like a hammer. DRT. MOA (Less in good platform) at 100yds all day. For the price you cannot beat it.

Best groups are 1.5 inch at 100 yard. And often has issues feeding due to the round sometimes flat tip. With a lot of sub moa options. Out there I would only buy this really to break in a rifle
