A tin typically contains something delicious – fish, perhaps, or some reconstructed pork delicacy. But when Red Army Standard fills a sealed can, you get something even better than luncheon meat. You get affordably priced AK-47 ammo that’s going to remain safe against the elements for as long as you leave it unopened!

This 7.62x39 cartridge features a 122 grain full metal jacket projectile. It’s the basic semi-auto bullet, able to navigate a rifle’s feed ramp without issue before it proceeds to prevent lead fouling in the bore. An FMJ doesn’t expand when it hits its target, suiting it best for target practice (but by no means making it ineffective for self-defense). Red Army Standard’s bullets have bimetal jackets unless otherwise indicated, so some indoor ranges may not approve of this magnetic ammo.

These rounds’ steel shell casings ought to present no difficulty feeding or extracting in an AK-47, and their polymer coating serves to reduce metal-on-metal friction as they cycle. You will not be able to reload these casings, but picking them up off the ground is a breeze with the help of a magnet. Red Army Standard’s primers are as non-corrosive as any American manufacturer’s, and will prevent rust from harming your rifle.
