This is not 7.62x51 or 7.62x39 ammunition. This is 7.62x54r ammo, which is most commonly fired in Mosin-Nagant rifles.

Prvi Partizan’s Serbian-made ammo doesn’t boast a hefty price tag, but it always offers great value. If you’re looking for a big case of simple military grade 7.62x54r ammunition for all your target shooting endeavors, then you’ve looked in just the right place!

This cartridge’s 182 grain bullet is a full metal jacket. Its 2,624 fps muzzle velocity was recorded with a 28.5” barrel (even though the Mosin-Nagant M91/30 has a 29” barrel). Its 0.530 G1 ballistic coefficient gives the bullet a normal trajectory for the 7.62x54r. If you already know and love the Mosin’s performance, then this ammo doesn’t hold any surprises in store. The bullet lacks any steel – it can’t attract a magnet, so you’re all clear to take this ammo to your favorite commercial range!

This ammunition features brand new brass cases, so you can expect it to keep your action cleaner than steel-cased alternatives, and its noncorrosive primers are sealed against water infiltration. But if you’re a handloader, this ammo comes with an important caveat: Its Berdan primers make it practically impossible to reload.
