The Inceptor ARX series uses new technology developed by PolyCase, an injection molding company that has used its considerable expertise to develop a bullet made from a copper-polymer alloy. The ARX projectile is a considerable departure from conventional hollow points in that it relies on hydraulic displacement (popularly known as hydrostatic shock) rather than mushrooming expansion to stop an assailant. ARX bullets have a grooved shape that directs fluids in the target's body outward to cause cavitation and, ultimately, incapacitation. The goal is to stop an attacker quickly before he or she can cause harm to the user.

These 9mm Luger cartridges come in boxes of 25 and fire a 74 grain ARX bullet at a muzzle velocity of 1,475 feet per second. The light bullet fired at a high velocity delivers excellent terminal ballistics but carries a relatively low chance of overpenetrating the target or ricocheting. This can be a major advantage in a home defense situation where collateral damage to people or property is a serious concern.

Polycase is based in Savannah, Georgia and loads its products using non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases. Due to the composition of the ARX projectile, it is a lead-free product.
