On the outside, this round looks like any other normal 9mm target load. It has a reloadable brass case. It has a Boxer primer. It has a 124 grain full metal jacket – steel-free, and otherwise identical to any other 9mm round’s 124 grain FMJ projectile.
The only real difference between 9mm and 9mm NATO is the propellant. When you light this round up, its propellant will explode to generate 36,500 psi max chamber pressure. That’s 1,500 psi higher than standard, although still 2,000 psi lower than +P.
The payoff? A slightly flatter trajectory, higher striking energy, and the more authoritative shooting experience you’d rightly expect from more powerful ammo. Just take care that 9mm NATO’s recoil can be noticeably stronger. And although this ammo isn’t classified as +P, we’d still advise only firing it in firearms that are +P rated.
