This ammo by Glaser is a part of their Safety Slug line of ammunition. This 9mm ammo contains a +P 80 grain pre-fragmented hollow point bullet with a polymer tip that fills the hollow point. The core of the bullet is composed of compressed #12 bird shot. This ammo was originally introduced in the 1970s and has had several redesigns over the years to increase performance and improve fragmentation. This ammo is designed to have minimal penetration and maximum fragmentation. These rounds use re-loadable brass casings and non-corrosive Boxer primers.

Glaser is part of the same company as Corbon. Together they produce a wide variety of self defense ammunition with different amounts of intended penetration and expansion. Corbon/Glaser is based in South Dakota.
