But that’s just one kind of blazer. The other is much better: Blazer, which is loaded by CCI of Idaho!
The Blazer brand was established as a way of marketing CCI’s once-novel aluminum cases. Obviously, Blazer Rimfire is loaded with brass shells (because aluminum would be too hard for a 22 LR’s firing pin to bite into). It’s also loaded with simple yet uniform 40 grain lead round nose projectiles (nonexpanding; still deadly to varmints). The bullet’s advertised supersonic 1,235 fps muzzle velocity is due to be a lot lower out of a handgun, but it’ll give the 0.133 G1 BC 40gr LRN this kind of performance out of a rifle:
0yds: 1,235 fps | 135 ft lbs | -1.5”
20yds: 1,171 fps | 122 ft lbs | 0.1”
40yds: 1,117 fps | 111 ft lbs | 0.6”
60yds: 1,072 fps | 102 ft lbs | 0.0”
80yds: 1,033 fps | 95 ft lbs | -1.8”
100yds: 999 fps | 89 ft lbs | -4.9”
120yds: 970 fps | 84 ft lbs | -9.4”
Good for semi-automatics!
