Magtech and 1911s good mix
I sent 50 of these through my 1911 .38 Super Friday, functioned well and cleanly. No problems and well made ammo. .38 is not a cheap bullet but I got my money's worth pluse with the magtech. I'll be ordering more
Outstanding ammo and outstanding value
I use this ammo in a Taurus PT-1911 and am very happy with these rounds. Lucky Gunner always has these in stock at a reasonable cost. I have never had a misfire or jam of any kind. These rounds are accurate and the brass can also be reloaded, which is a big plus for me since I recently purchased a Lee reloading kit. I use these in my 1911 for everyday carry because I've read that your own reloaded rounds used in self defense can be utilized against a shooter, even if they are technically weaker than a commercially loaded round. I fire at an indoor range quite often and I always have an easier time finding my Magtech shells because they are silver-colored instead of copper-colored. Definitely a great round at a great price and Lucky Gunner ships same day and I get my ammo within 2 days (I am in Michigan).
Very good ammo
I shot this ammo out of a Taurus PT1911 .38 Super. This ammo was very clean and very accurate. I had no failures or jams of any kind. My pistol was brand new and i shot 150 rounds of this particular ammo. This is the ammo that I will be buying from now for any .38 Super pistol that i use including my PT1911.
Quality Product - Fires Reliably - Two Rounds Failed to Eject in Colt 1911
I already reviewed this stuff on my site. I shot it with a Colt Government model 1911. The brass appears to be well-made. The overall quality seems top-notch. Every round fired. The accuracy seems good. The only problem I had was that two rounds failed to eject. I'm wondering if the rims on the cases are smaller than usual or have an unusual shape. This is why I gave it three stars for performance. The ammunition had none of the funny smell you get with Russian products. I can't rate the value highly. This stuff is expensive, and that isn't a knock on Lucky Gunner. As far as I know, ALL manufactured .38 Super is expensive. I don't know why. It uses more powder than cheaper calibers, but the amount of metal is not particularly high. If you have a Colt, you might look for a different brand of ammunition, because of the ejection problem.
