Straight and True
OK. For the price you can't beat this stuff. I've shoot more than 100 yards for fun, sighting in my three 44 Mags (Henry, Ruger rifle and Ruger pistol). It flies like a laser. That said, while it did take down a HUGE 10 point buck, its not a good hunting round. I shot him broadside at 25 yards right through the lungs, but the bullet never came out the other side. He ran 100 yards, stopped to let his lungs fill with blood and dropped. My lesson learned was to use a heavier bullet; 240 or 300.
Later, I shot these in to jugs of water. It blows them apart as you'd imagine, but the bullet completely separates too. So there's another reason not to use it for hunting. Likely a great self-defense round (as advertised).
Good Quality & Shoot Good
I bought these because I could not find any .44 mag brass to reload. Lucky Gunner delivered them quickly and in good condition. The loads seem accurate from my super blackhawk. My only complaint is with the PMC brass. The primer holes are not in the center of the primer pockets, however, I have had no problems reloading the brass.
The bullets were delivered very quickly. The price was low as compared to many other sites. I purchased this box for a friend who could not find the same ammunition from Hornady. Hornady has suspended the manufacture of this particular shell. These JHP .44Magnum shells are performing as well as the Hormady did in his rifle. Quality ammunition at a reasonable price is hard to find. Lucky Gunner fills that gap.
A good, reliable ammunition
I found it to be a Reliable ammo, after firing 50 rounds, all were consistant loads, and clean firing. My revover was no dirtier after this ammo than with much more expensive brands. I would have no problem recommending this brand to others as a good value on a clean reliable, consistent load.
