There used to be a time when you couldn’t walk five feet without stubbing your toe on a shipping container packed full of military surplus 30 Carbine ammunition. Times have changed. If you want to fire your M1 carbine nowadays, you need a company like Prvi Partizan of Serbia to supply some brand new stuff.

The 30 Carbine’s design isn’t really one you can take liberties with. It’s more of a “110 grain bullet, 1,990 fps muzzle velocity only” kind of affair. Never one to buck a trend, Prvi Partizan complied with the tried-and-true formula. Only real features of note are the cartridges’ nonferromagnetic components: steel-free target-grade FMJs, and solid brass cases that it’d be kind of a shame not to handload.
