We gotta start this off with the two most important things to know about this ammo:
1. 5.45x39 is not compatible with 5.56x45 or 7.62x39 firearms.
2. Wolf Performance Ammunition is not permitted at gun ranges which ban “magnetic ammo.”

That first point ought to be well-known to any AK-74 enthusiasts out there. The second is because Wolf assembles their 60 grain hollow point with a primarily steel jacket. It’s laid over a lead core, and copper washed for nicer cosmetics, but it’s still magnet-attracting steel all the same.

This round’s target/defense bullet is loaded in a steel case: something else most AK-74 shooters are already familiar with, being accustomed to Russian-made ammunition as they usually are. Like this ammo’s steel jackets, its cases are in service of reducing manufacturing costs. They also come with the chief drawback of being unsuitable for handloading. Gotta have brass for that!

This ammunition was made long after the days of corrosive Soviet materiel. Its Berdan are modern (i.e. noncorrosive).=
