This is top of the line, American-made range ammo - it doesn't get any better.
Video Transcript:
The Champion line of ammo is Federal's less expensive range and training ammo, and is some of the most affordable brass cased ammo you can get in any brand.
The Champion ammo we tested is the 9mm FMJ 115 grain. This bullet is a little different than the traditional full metal jacket. It's actually a plated bullet, which is thinner than the traditional jacket, and is closed on the bottom side, it's totally enclosed in copper, so there's no exposed lead on it, which makes it really good for indoor ranges.
In all other respects, the plated bullet is fine and it doesn't cause any reliability issues, but they're not recommended for ported barrels. I've shot a lot of this ammo over the last couple of years, reliability is great, I didn't have any problem in my test guns. Accuracy is not outstanding, I'm not exactly the best shot in the world, but in our 15 yard benchrest test, the ten shot groups weren't quite as good as some of the other ammo we've tested. The root beer cans, on the other hand, didn't really seem to notice.
Overall, Federal Champion is a solid range ammo, especially if you reload and want to keep your brass.

I purchased the Federal 9mm for a 3 day handgun training course. I went through about 800 rounds in those three days and didn't have any issues. Shipping time frame was accurate. (Posted on 9/6/12)Performance Value Quality - Great product for accurate shooting at the range Review by FDMU11

Great product for accurate shooting at the range (Posted on 2/20/12)Performance Value Quality - My favorite practice ammo for my XDM Review by kbam

I've shot about 600 rounds of this ammo through a XDM wiith a 9mm conversion barrel on a 40 S&W cal pistol. I'm also using the same 40 S&W magazines rather than 9mm magazines.. Zero problems and good groupings. I shoot about 200 rounds per trip and imediately clean. Fouling is about average with other name brand FMJ. I would never recommend this setup for self defense and I'll continue to use the 40 S&W for that purpose, but for IDPA I've found this works fine. Buying 1,000 rounds, i found the shipping adds about $1 / box. Buying on sale, listed price was $205, actual price was around $225, shipping to Virginia. I'll be watching for it to go back on sale. (Posted on 2/17/12)Performance Value Quality - I have made several purchases from L.G. and have been very happy . Cost per round is a bit cheaper than from a mass merchandiser but it is delivered to your door, no cost of transportation to go pick it up. Review by Big Al 1954

I shot weekly at our local range, about a 150 rounds each trip so I need a good target round and have fount the Federal Champions to do a good job. Clean accurate ammunition that doesn't cost you a fortune to go "play". L.G. has always shipped promptly and I receive my order to my door step within a few days. They follow up and answered a question I had the one time I had to call. I have recommended to friends as I will to you! Have had no problems with this purchase. No FTF, FTE at all. This after all Federal ammo, what could be wrong? I am sure you will find this ammo to be as good as I do. Pull the trigger, make the purchase now. (Posted on 11/17/11)Performance Value Quality - 600 rounds and Review by Soulrot

I Used about 250 rounds in one day. Didn't have no jams or double fire. The gun was a little dirty but, any gun will be dirty after 250 rounds. Love it. (Posted on 9/30/11)Performance Value Quality
