The 10mm Auto is a fantastic, high powered, handgun round, developed in 1983. This round was selected by the FBI but later decommissioned due to the cartridges large recoil. If you are looking for a high power option for the range or for defense and don't care about the recoil, the 10mm Auto is the perfect handgun round for you.
Barnes has been leading the world in copper ammunition for years. Since 1932, Barnes bullets have been a staple in the reloading community, and their loaded ammunition has a reputation for being extremely reliable and consistent, great for hunting and self defense applications.
With these 155 grain, TAC-XP rounds you have the terminal performance required to stop a threat whether it has two legs or four. Barnes VOR-TX rounds feature an all copper projectile that offers deep penetration and controlled expansion. These bullets are loaded into boxer primed brass casings that are reloadable. Pick up a box or two today!
After firing five rounds of Barnes 155 gr VOR-TX from a Glock 20 into synthetic ballistic gelatin from 10 feet away through four layers of fabric to simulate clothing, we then measured the expansion and penetration of the bullets for this 10mm Auto load, which you can see in the chart below.
The photos below provide a detailed view of the the expanded bullets that were recovered from the gelatin. The high speed video shows the first of our five shots as it entered the gel.
Finally, if you'd like to see how this Barnes load compares to other 10mm Auto loads, check out the diagrams at the bottom of the page. Want to know more about our ballistic gelatin testing and self-defense ammo? Check out Lucky Gunner Labs for more information.

Review by Pfred
Barnes Vor Tx pricey but will not matter if you are "forced" to use them. I find this true with every round of ammunition, regardless of which one someone prefers. And like a lot of concealed carry people, I stagger my rounds based upon the seasons and what I believe I might have to "punch through". ( Barnes / HST and the reverse - double tap and move or the reverse)
